Assistance with Money Management

Representative Payee (Repayee) Services

 

“It’s not just about making ends meet; it’s about building a stable future.”

Managing finances can be overwhelming, especially for those facing mental health challenges. The Repayee Program assists consumers receiving Social Security or SSI benefits and who are struggling to manage their payments. We work to reduce financial stress, allowing individuals to focus on their well-being.

 

Representative Payee Services include:

 

•Budget Management - Assistance with creating and managing a budget

•Money Management - Managing checking and savings accounts and issuing payments for living expenses and personal spending to ensure timely transactions

​​Long-term Rentals

Our rental housing program offers safe, stable and affordable living arrangements for individuals with mental health conditions. We maintain a group living home environment, two duplex apartment homes, and a single-family home.

 

Short-term Respite Services

We also provide short-term (up to 30 days) respite housing for those in need.

The Mental Health Association of Mercer County provides our consumers with individualized support to build practical life skills and pursue meaningful employment opportunities. Services may include assistance with job readiness, resume development, interview preparation, budgeting, time management, and navigating community resources, empowering individuals to increase independence and confidence in daily life. 

To combat isolation, we host regular events for individuals facing mental health challenges, along with their families and support networks. From mixers and picnics to movie nights, our gatherings create opportunities for connection, friendship, and community support.
